"FOP Cops and Kids©" 2009
Shelby County Metro FOP Lodge #35's annual "FOP Cops and Kids©" was held on December 5th, 2009 at the Wal-Mart Super Store located at 8400 Highway 64 in Bartlett. It kicked off at 7:30AM with a breakfast for the 43 kids at the McDonalds located inside the Wal-Mart. After breakfast, the kids divided up with one of the 28 Volunteers and went on a wild shopping spree! Each child had a $150 spending limit, and boy could they shop! Everything from bicycles to baby dolls went flying into shopping carts, and tons of smiles could be seen on every isle! We had 28 wonderful volunteers from The Memphis Police Department, Bartlett Police Department, Memphis Light Gas & Water Police, Shelby County Sherrif's Department, The Dream Factory, and many other organizations. Thank you all for volunteering, and we look forward to 2010's "FOP Cops and Kids©"! A special thanks goes out to all the employees of Walmart Store #950 for all their help, and the for the wonderful donation they made to "FOP Cops and Kids©"!
